It really depends on what the piece needs / what I have available to me. 
At cons I’l usually doodle a lot of things out and then finish them (color or framing wise) finish on the computer. But every piece is different and as much has I love digital art my former major and true passion is printmaking which is fully traditional. So as far as finding a balance I dont think there’s anything wrong w/ being too much in either direction its more of what you love, are used to or what you think the piece needs @ v @ ;;;
